ASTM A234 WPB pipe fittings are pipe fittings in which the material is ASTM A234 WPB. These types of pipe fittings are used in pressure piping systems, where there is the need to use high temperatures or moderate temperatures and various very critical engineering applications. The standard pipe material fitting that is very popular, is ASTM A234 and this is actually indicative of the material properties of various types of alloy steel and carbon steel. WPB happens to be one of the steel grades of this standard. W stands for weldable, P stands for pressure and B stands for Grade B.
